Overview
Seed biology is the study on the characteristics and life process of plant seeds and the principle of seed storage and processing. It is one of the key courses for the major of seed science and engineering. This course will teach students the knowledge of seed structure, seed chemistry, and its relationship with seed physiology, seed formation and development, seed dormancy, germination, seed vigor and longevity, the biological bases for seed storage and processing, new advances in seed science, and the germplasm storage, finally, the principle of seed production and storage.
